Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually ask before their first morning with Bhagya.
What is Bhagya?
Bhagya is a Vedic astrology (Jyotish) app for Android. Every morning it reads your personal birth chart together with the day's planetary positions and gives you practical guidance: a lucky number, lucky colour, auspicious direction, best time window and a personal mantra — plus a jaap counter, personalised remedies and a mantra & chalisa library.
How is my daily guidance calculated?
From your date, time and place of birth, Bhagya calculates your Kundli — your Nakshatra, Rashi and ruling planet. Each day this is combined with the current planetary positions to produce guidance that is specific to you, not a generic sun-sign horoscope.
How is this different from a normal horoscope app?
A normal horoscope gives one prediction to every person of the same sun sign — one twelfth of the world. Bhagya starts from your individual birth chart, so two people with the same sun sign will still get different numbers, colours, timings and mantras.
What is the Jaap Counter?
A digital mala. Choose a mantra and a target count — 11, 108, 1008 or your own — and tap or listen as you chant. The counter keeps track of rounds so you can keep your attention on the japa itself. Your streaks help you build a consistent daily practice.
What kind of remedies does Bhagya suggest?
Practical, personalised Vedic remedies (upay) matched to your chart: for Manglik dosha and delay in marriage, friction in married life, heartbreak that won't lift, repeated failure in competitive exams, and more. Remedies are simple daily rituals, mantra practices, and colour or gemstone suggestions — never scare tactics.
Which languages does the app support?
Twelve Indian languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia and Assamese. You pick your language on first launch and can change it anytime in Settings.
Is Bhagya free?
The download is free and every new user gets a 7-day free trial with no card required. After the trial, the subscription is ₹99/month, billed through Google Play with UPI AutoPay. You can cancel anytime.
Is Bhagya available on iPhone?
Right now Bhagya is Android-only, on Google Play. An iOS version is planned — follow @bhagya.app on Instagram for the announcement.
Do I need my exact birth time?
The closer the better — Nakshatra calculations use it. If you only know the approximate time (say, 'early morning'), enter your best estimate; you can refine it later in your profile and your chart updates instantly.
Is my birth data private?
Your birth details are used to calculate your chart and are encrypted in transit. We don't sell your personal data. See the privacy policy for the full detail, and contact us anytime at [email protected] to ask about or delete your data.
